SEATTLE, WA - November 18, 2005 - Artisan Codeworks announced today the immediate release of WorldTimes 1.0, a clear and compact world clock for OS X that displays up to 12 different time zones from a database of more than 420 worldwide locations. Emphasizing ease of use, WorldTimes handles each location's daylight savings changes automatically, lets the user customize any location name, and incorporates the user's system settings for the default time zone and format. I wrote this originally as a gift for my Mum, Richard Brown, founder and president of Artisan Codeworks said. She lives on another continent and over the last 2 years, I have lived in 3 different cities on two continents in 3 different time zones. She just couldn't keep it all straight. So I realized with some of the functionality in OS X, I could write a small, easy to use world clock for her (or anyone else) to know the time anywhere in the world. WorldTimes was born. I find it very handy, Shirley Brown said. I like it because it is so clear and easy to run. The thing I really appreciate is how it automatically figures out daylight savings time changes. It just saves me any confusion." With time zone information from Adelaide to Zurich and hundreds of places in between, WorldTimes 1.0 offers a focused, uncluttered way to know the time anywhere in the world. And in keeping with the original spirit with which it was written, Artisan Codeworks is making it available as a free download.
